My son Loves his. We bought him a Kiddimoto about 2 months ago and it was the best thing ive ever bought him. took him 2 days to master it, and now he's whizzing everywhere. I've also seen a huge improvement in his confidence and coordination. Only problem is Daddy's jealous because its a Troy corser replica!

I am a childminder who works with assistants.(Now registered as childcare on domestic premises) One of my assistants is male and has worked for me for six and a half years. The children adore him especially the under two's. In all the years we have worked together we have only had two mothers who have shown any negativity to a male assistant but everyone else has been more than happy to have a male look after their children. He provides a great balance in an all female staff and is a great role model to the single parent family

I agree!! We bought one for our 2 year old son for xmas one year and he was able to ride his big bike independently 2 weeks before his 3rd birthday in that summer!!! His sister learnt the conventional way and was 5years old!! We did find however that he still needed the 'pedal' practice so he used a trike so it was very different to the bike so he wouldn't get confused...if that makes sense??!! Great bike....Great invention....Great fun !!!!

In the UK children must attend school from the age of 5. Failure to send you child to school at this age will raise concerns from the local authorities. However, many parents choose to send their children from aged 4. Aged 4 is optional, Aged 5 is not. I presume all the chatter is about lowering teh compulsary start date to 4 years old.

Learning journey portfolios are used by most settings now and are great for both showcasing learning, but also keeping track of progress and for planning. They are great to share with parents too - ours are taken home by parents every school holiday for them to look at with the children - they all love them!

These bikes are fantastic. They teach children balance. Then they can easily transfer onto bikes with peddles, missing out the useless stabilisers. Also, competent children can ride really fast on them. We have used these at our nursery for the last 6 years. Most children can ride a 2 wheeled bike by the time they start school as a result of these bikes.

THe Dept for Children Schools and Families advises the removal of soft toys from nursery environments for the time being as they are difficult to keep clean and germ free, they advise regular cleaning of hard toys after use, not letting the children share crayons, pens and pencils and wind insttruments, and that children should always wash their hands after being on the carpet as the carpet could harbour infection. Hope people find that helpful.
